Ha! Funny you should ask:) I have the best story about a situation like this where someone said something and I thought of the perfect comeback for it later. The best part: The sucker gave me another opportunity to come back at him later with an even bigger payoff:)
Okay, so check this out. I had this female acquaintance I accationally socialized with in High School. She made the mistake of sleeping with this real douche bag. He was the kind of arrogant prick you wanted to tear down on general principle. He would even say things like "If I want your opinion, I'll give you one." and shit like that.
After their night together, this guy was going around bragging about it and telling other guys (including me) not to bother with her because she was a "dead lay". He would go on to explain how she would just lay there and not do anything while he was (his choice of words not mine) "fucking" her.
I don't know why he was even telling me for. I never liked the son of a bitch and made it no secret. The way he was putting this girls business out there really pissed me off too. It takes a real asshole to embarrass someone like that. Her poor choice in guys not withstanding, she didn't deserve this. Later after he had said this stuff to me I thought of the perfect comeback to put him in his place and it bugged the hell out of me that I didn't think of it then. But fate or karma or his own stupidity was out to get him:)
He went for the big hit and repeated his offensive remarks in front of a larger audience. He was trying to really embarrass her by telling an entire class that we three happened to share, all at once! With her in the room! The teacher had stepped out a moment and he starts talking and I see her face getting red and tears welling up and I push my rage down and wait patiently for him to finish. He had just finished outlining for our classmates how unresponsive and lame he thought she was in the sack and just then, with the teacher walking back into the room and the whole class riveted by what was being said, I spoke up. "Did you ever stop to think that it might have been a reflection on
YOUR performance?" I asked.
There was a split second of silence. In that moment the teacher stopped in her tracks, the girls tears stopped and a small smile pulled at her lips and then... the whole class burst out with laughter.
I wasn't popular in High School nor was I concerned with being popular but with one question asked at the right moment, I had robbed this ass clown of his undeserved rock star status and redeemed some of that poor girl's dignity. It was a good day:)
